Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani is the current Emir of Qatar with an estimated net worth of $2 billion. Tamim bin Hamad is the youngest reigning monarch in the world after succeeding his father Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in 2013. He attended Sherborne School (International College) in Dorset, England and Harrow School. Tamim also graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1998. He became the Emir of Qatar after his father abdicated the throne in 2013. He heads the Qatar Investment Authority board of investors. The fund has invested billions in businesses in the UK. He holds large stakes in Sainsbury’s Barclay’s Bank and Harrods. His fund also owns a share of the Shard, Europe’s tallest building. Tamim has three wives Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani, Anoud bint Mana Al-Hajri and Noora bint Hathal Al Dosari with total of seven children.
