Pham Nhat Vuong is a self-made real estate billionaire based in Hanoi, Vietnam. He is the only billionaire in Vietnam. After completing his education in Moscow, he moved to Ukraine. There he started Technocom, a maker of instant noodles. He moved to Vietnam in 2001 and started investing in real estate. He sold is food business to Nestle in 2009. Phat Nhat Vuong is the founder of chairman of Vingroup, which is well-known for its major projects like Vincom Center in Hanoi. It is one of the leading private companies in the country. Phat Nhat Vuong spent the year 2014 expanding his conglomerate’s real estate business. He launched many new projects during this period. Most notable among these is the $1.5 billion development Vinhomes Central Park. After it is completed, it will have 81 stories and will be the tallest building in Vietnam. He is married and has three children.
