Pete Cashmore is British tech tycoon, founder and CEO of digital media website Mashable who has an estimated net worth of $230 million (£150m) as of 2015, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. With over 30 million visitors per month, Mashable is the second most visited blog in the world after the Huffington Post. He was ranked the second top-earning blogger in the world.
Cashmore started the venture in a room at his parents’ home near Aberdeen in 2005. His stake in the digital media website is worth £130 million while Time Warner has a $17 million stake. He also writes technology column for CNN.
