Indian businessman Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani has an estimated net worth of $26.9 billion as of 2017, according to Forbes making him the richest man in India. His estimated net worth rose to $42.2 billion as of October 2018. Ambani is the chairman, managing director and the largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Limited.
Mukesh was born on 19 April 1957 in Aden, Yemen. He is the elder son of Dhiribhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani. He studied at the Hill Grange High School at Peddar Road, Mumbai, India. He earned his BE degree in chemical engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga. He enrolled for an MBA at Stanford University, but discontinued the program to assist his father in running Reliance.
Mukesh Ambani created the world’s largest grassroots petroleum refinery at Jamnagar, India, which had the capacity to produce 660,000 barrels per day in 2010, integrated with petrochemicals, power generation, port and related infrastructure.

In October 2014, Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India inaugurated Reliance Foundation’s new hospital in Mumbai.
