He is the owner of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors in the NBA and has collaborated with Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Lacob attended and earned his degree from the University of California, Irvine and pursued his master’s at the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in public health in addition to his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 1987 the businessman became a partner at Kleiner Perkins after having worked with FHP International, Cetus Corporation, and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He was also one among the primary inventors in the from-failed-to-successful professional women’s basketball league the American Basketball Association. In 2006 Lacob became a minority owner of the Boston Celtics and he then went on to buy the Golden State Warriors in 2010 with other investors for $450 million. This action required him to sell his interest in the Celtics.
