Born in Hackney, East London in May 1945. English singer, songwriter, and musician Gary Brooker has an estimated net worth of $10 million. He is widely known as the founder and lead singer of the rock band Procol Harum. Brooker started off his career forming the band The Paramounts together with his friend Robin Trower in 1962. The band played numerous shows with The Rolling Stones. Four years later, the entertainer established Procol Harum with his friend Keith Reid. The band then released their self-titled first studio album in 1967 and went on to released 11 other studio albums. Their most successful song is 1967’s “A Whiter Shade of Pale” which is one of the few singles that has exceeded over 10 million copies sale. Besides, Procol Harum was also nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. As a solo artist Brooker, who became a Member of the Order of the British Empire during the Queen’s Birthday Honours for his charitable services in 2003, released the albums No More Fear of Flying in 1979, Lead Me to the Water in 1982, and Echoes in the Night in 1985.
