American puppeteer and cartoonist Caroll Spinney has an estimated net worth of $2 million. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts in December 1993. He is widely recognized for playing Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch characters on the famous television series Sesame Street. Spinney began drawing and painting at young age and later became rapt in puppeteering following his attending Punch and Judy shows. In 1962 he met Jim Henson at a puppeteering festival and seven years later he became part of Sesame Street for its inaugural season. He nearly quitted the show at times, though, due to the fact that he was not paid enough. In 1971 Spinney claimed a Grammy Award for Best Recording for Children for Sesame Street and won a News & Documentary Emmy Award for Sesame Street in the next three years. His other achievements include five Daytime Emmy Awards for Sesame Street and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7021 Hollywood Blvd.
