Standing 6’7″, he started playing as a small forward for Edison High School and played college basketball at Cal State Fullerton where he was honored to the All-Big West Conference First Team. Though being undrafted in the 1993 NBA Draft, he was able to join Le Havre and Evreux in France. In 1995, he was picked by the Fort Wayne Fury of the CBA and joined the Rockford Lightning from 1995 to 1996. He returned to France and subsequently rejoining the Rockford Lightning. He began playing in NBA in 1997 with Miami Heat.
