This 55-year-old billionaire resides in Singapore. He is betting big on energy. The assets of his company Chandler Corp include a 19 percent stake in NYSE-listed, Canada-based InterOil Corp and around 10 percent of Africa Oil. Other interests include stakes in a string of Southeast Asian healthcare companies like Hoan My Medical Corp and a chain of Philippines hospitals and clinics.

This 59-year-old self-made billionaire is the richest person in New Zealand. His wealth increased by more than $2 billion during the last year, largely due to his global packaging empire Reynolds Group Holdings, which has an annual revenue of about $14 billion after a string of big acquisitions in the past few years.
This low-profile business tycoon also owns Carter Hold Harvey, an Australasian paper, packing and building supplies company. Graeme Hart owns UCI-FRAM Group, a US-based company which controls many major automobile components brands. Over the years, his umbrella private investment holding company Rank Group has used leveraged buyouts to swallow underperforming businesses.
