Born in Bangkok, Thailand to a prominent Korean economist, Korean American businesswoman and entrepreneur Thai Lee has an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion as of 2015, according to Forbes. She is widely recognized as the CEO and co-founding member of Software House International (SHI). As a teenager Lee relocated to the United States along with her sister and attended Amherst College where she earned Bachelor of Arts & Science degree. She then returned to Korea and worked at an auto parts maker before continuing her study at Harvard Business School obtaining Master of Business Administration. The businesswoman later worked for Procter & Gamble and American Express before going on to develop the largest female owned business in the U.S. In 1989 Lee and her former spouse purchased a failing IT company for less than $1 million and turned the firm into a $6 billion dollar business with customers including AT&T, Boeing, and Johnson & Johnson. In 2015 she was ranked #14 on the inaugural Forbes list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women. Lee is divorced with two children and they are currently living in Lebanon, New Jersey.
