About Sophie Holloway

Sophie Dahl Sophie Dahl has a net worth of $8 million. The English author and former fashion model was born on September 15, 1977 in London, England, United Kingdom. Dahl is the daughter of actor Julian Holloway and Tessa Dahl. Her maternal grandparents were children’s author, Roald Dahl and American actress Patricia Neal, meanwhile her paternal grandparents were actor Stanley Holloway and former chorus dancer Violet Lane.

As a model, she made a name for herself as the face of a series of ad campaigns; for several designer brands as well as fashion magazines. She rose to fame during the 90’s and early 2000’s for her heavy built structure. She used this to her advantage to become an icon in the international fashion scene. Dahl made her runway debut on the English catwalk in London’s Fashion Week in the autumn of 1997. The same year, she was discovered by Isabella Blow (Stylist for Vogue Magazine at the time) who later introduced her to the management of Storm Model Agency in London. The agency later signed her to work on campaigns for Alexander McQueen, Patrick Cox and Pringle, Versace amongst others.

As an author, her first novella was written in 2003 titled The Man with the Dancing Eyes, which was later followed with the Grown-ups released in 2008. She also authored The Delicious Miss Dahl, a cookbook featuring several recipes which was later recreated for a six-part BBC 2 series.
