Nigerian-American film writer and director Rick Famuyiwa has an estimated net worth of $1.5 million. Born in Inglewood, California in June 1973. He earned a degree in film and television production from the University of Southern California and he is member of the Director’s Guild of America. In 1999 Famuyiwa rose to fame after directing the movies The Wood. Since then, he has gone on to direct the 2002 film Brown Sugar, the 2010 film Our Family Wedding, and the 2015 film Dope, all of which he served as writer or executive producer. In 2008 the film writer and director won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture (Theatrical or Television) for Talk to Me and was nominated for two Black Reel Awards for The Wood in 2000. In 2015 Famuyiwa was also nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival for Dope.
