Irish professional golfer Padraig Harrington has an estimated net worth $60 million (£37m) as of 2015, according to the Sunday Times rich list. Born Pádraig P. Harrington on 31 August 1971 in Dublin, Ireland. Harrington started his professional career in 1995. He has won three major championships: The Open Championship in 2007 and 2008 and the PGA Championship in 2008. He has tasted victory three times in golf’s majors, but Harrington’s recent poor form shows no sign of coming to an end. He failed to qualify for The Masters this year for the first time since making his debut in 2000. He won The Open at Carnoustie in 2007, the first Irish winner in 60 years. He retained his title a year later and then won the US PGA championship – his last official victory. But he is still doing pretty well. In 2013 Golf Digest estimated his earnings for the year to be £4.7m, with just £800,000 of that coming from prize money. He has 12 blue-chip sponsors and is building a golf course design operation. His career earnings come in at more than £42m. With hefty Irish taxation and an investment in Irish tech company U4EA, which cost him £3.3m.
