Born in January 1966 in Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica. Ninjaman is widely recognized as a Jamaican dancehall DJ and actor who has earned a net worth of $1 million. He worked as a DJ at the tender age of 12 under the pseudonym of Double Ugly. He launched his first single “Uglyman” in 1980. During his DJ reign, he has created controversial lyrics that are considered pro-guns. Despites this controversy, he achieved many albums and smashes including “Permit to Bury”, “Murder Dem”, and “Above the Law” that referenced his aggressive and rebellious image which was rival to other similar artists including Shabba ranks in 1987. However, his overbearingly violent lyrics were criticized to the point of obscurity in his performances and recording in 1993. He altered his name to Brother Desmond and began his gospel reggae music in 1997. He featured in an episode of the TV series The Word in 1990. In March 2009, Ninjaman and his son Janiel were the prime suspects of Ricardo Johnson’s homicide in Kingston, Jamaica, after which he was allowed on bail for JD$2 million in March 2012, exactly three years after the arrest.
