Born in New London, Connecticut in March 1989. American professional baseball player Matt Harvey has an estimated net worth of $3 million. He plays as a starting pitcher for the New York Mets of the Major League Baseball. He studied at Fitch Senior High School and was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 2007 MLB Draft. Harvey ruled out signing deal with the Angels and went on to play for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Between 2008 and 2009 he pitched in the Cape Cod Baseball League. In 2010 he was drafted #7 by his current team New York Mets in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft and made his MLB debut for the Mets two years later. He made into an All-Star in 2013 and was voted National League Pitcher of the Week and NL Pitcher of the Week in April the same year. After joining MLB Harvey set a new Mets record with 11 strikeouts. Unfortunately, he was sidelined for the entire 2014 season due to elbow injury and had Tommy John surgery to repair his right elbow.
