She is the creator of GeoStar and Sirius Radio as well as the founder and current CEO of United Therapeutics Corporation. Rothblatt attended and earned her M.B.A from University of California, Los Angeles and started out in the field of communications satellite law at Covington & Burling before changing to work in life sciences projects. In 1990 she created WorldSpace and Sirius Satellite Radio but left the former in 1992 and the later in 1997. Since then, she has held Chairwoman and CEO position of United Therapeutics Corp.
