Marie Osmond Net Worth
With a net worth of $17 million, Marie Osmond is perhaps best known for hosting Donny & Marie, a TV variety show that ran for three years starting in 1976. By then she had released her debut single, Paper Roses. The song went on to make it to Billboard’s top five. In 1974 Osmond released a full album that included the In My Little Corner of the World single. The album and single both cracked Billboard’s top 40. She repeated her success the next year with the release of Who’s Sorry Now, another single that made it into the top 40 on Billboard.
Osmond released album number four in 1977. Though her first three albums were country, her fourth album was pop. With only two singles, sales of this album never took off.
Variety Show and Subsequent Albums
In the 1980s, Osmond shifted her focus to TV. Marie was a weekly variety show starring Osmond. It aired on NBC and marked what would be a short hiatus from the music industry. It was until 1984 that Osmond released another single, but this one never ranked higher than number 82 on the Billboard list of the hottest country singles. When Osmond made her next country album in 1985 she found herself with number one hits on her hands once again. Her follow up album the next year was also country music and went to number one on the Billboard charts.
When Osmond released two more country albums in 1988 and 1989, the style of country music fans wanted to hear was changing. As a result, Osmond quit releasing country albums. She wouldn’t record another song until 1995. Her next album was released in 2010 and proceeds from the album sales went to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
The most recent Marie Osborne album was released at the end of 2015. It made it into the top 10 on the Billboard charts, a feat she hadn’t achieved since the 1990s. To date, there are still two missing tracks that were supposed to be included on the album.
