Born in Cleveland, Ohio in October 1920. Late American actress and comedian LaWanda Page had an estimated net worth of $500 thousand. She started out in “The Bronze Goddess of Fire”, a simple nightclub where she performed shows eating fire and lighting cigarettes with her fingertips. Page was very successful in her career so much so that she dubbed The Queen of Comedy or The Black Queen of Comedy. She recorded a number of live comedy albums for Laff Records, with the album Watch It, Sucker! certified Gold. Her fame was mostly gained from her role as Aunt Esther Anderson on television series Sanford and Son, which run between 1973 and 1977. She then landed the same role on the TV series Sanford Arms and the series Sanford in 1977 and 1981 respectively. Meanwhile, Page also played Charlene Jenkins character in the series Detective School in 1979 and was featured in the movies Good-bye Cruel World, My Blue Heaven, Friday, Shakes the Clown, CB4, The Meteor Man, Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, Zapped!, Mausoleum, and West from North Goes South. At the age of 81 LaWanda Page died on September 14, 2002.
