Born on January 12, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After moving to Miami, Florida with his mother and step father, Bezos studied at Miami Palmetto Senior High School where he attended the Student Science Training Program at the University of Florida, receiving a Silver Knight Award in 1982. He attended Princeton University earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in electrical engineering and computer science. In 1986, Bezos worked on Wall Street in computer science sector and took a job at Fitel. He also worked at Bankers Trust, and D. E. Shaw & Co. In 1994, he founded Amazon.com where most of his fortune has come from. He also founded Blue Origin and acquired The Washington Post in 2013, for a reported $250 million. Bezos married novelist MacKenzi S. Tuttle in 1993 and the couple have four children.
