Gus Attridge was born in Durban, South Africa. He is a commerce graduate and a CA from South Africa Institute of CAs. South African billionaire businessman Stephen Saad and Gus Attridge founded the publicly traded South African company Aspen Pharmacare in 1997. Today it is the largest pharmaceutical manufacturer in Africa and the fifth largest drug manufacturer in the world.
Stephen Saad is the CEO and Attridge is the deputy CEO of the company. Attridge has been serving the company as its Executive Director and Deputy Group Chief Executive since 1999.
