Born in London, England in October 1976. Israeli-British-American director Gil Kenan has an estimated net worth of $3 million. At the age of three Kenan and his family relocated to Tel Aviv and later to Los Angeles, California when he was eight years old. He then attended and earn his degree in animation from the University of California, Los Angeles. He produced a 10 minute film titled The Lark for his graduate thesis which caught the interest of Robert Zemeckis who offered him the director’s chair for the movie Monster House in 2006. Kenan then directed the movies City of Ember and Poltergeist in 2008 and 2015 respectively. His achievements include nomination for an Academy Award for Monster House for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year, St. Louis Film Critics Association Award for Monster House, and an Annie Award, Chicago Film Critics Association Award. Gil Kenan is been married to Eliza Chaikin, who worked as the art director for his movie City of Ember, since 2005.
