Born in Queens, New York in October in 1948. American fashion designer Donna Karan has an estimated net worth of $450 million as of 2015, according to Forbes. She is widely recognized for the creation of Donna Karan New York and DKNY clothing labels and for her chic. Following her graduation from Parsons School of Design, Karan started her career working for pioneer designer Anne Klein. Karan was later appointed as the head of the company’s design team and worked there until 1985 when she founded her own firm DKNY, which designs and sells clothing as well as home goods, accessories and fragrance.
In 1988 she was dubbed ‘The Queen Of Seventh Avenue’. In 1997 she abandoned her CEO position but remained at the company, serving as its chief designer.
