Late American musician, singer, and songwriter Doc Watson had an estimated net worth of $3 million. Born in Deep Gap, North Carolina in March 1923. He was widely recognized as a talented guitarist with flatpicking skills and thorough knowledge of classical American music, playing and singing country, folk, gospel, bluegrass, and blues music. As a singer Watson totally launched 38 studio albums and 15 more live albums, with his self-titled first album going public in 1964. He would frequently performed with his son Merle Watson who deceased in 1985 from an accident on their family farm. Throughout his entertainment career Watson claimed seven Grammy Awards for Best Country Instrumental Performance, Best Traditional Folk Album, Best Traditional Folk Recording, and Best Ethnic Or Traditional Recording as well as a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He was married to Rosa Lee Carlton and the pair had to children. At 89 years of age Doc Watson died on May 29, 2012.
