Born in London, England in March 1948. English musician and singer-songwriter Chris Squire had an estimated net worth of $10 million. He is widely recognized as the bass guitarist and backup vocalist of the rock band Yes. He was also the only remaining founding member of Yes as well as the only member who has been featured on every Yes album. The band Yes was established back in 1968 and has so far released a total of 21 studio albums, with over 13.5 million albums sold in the U.S alone. Their self-titled debut studio album was released in 1969, while both of their albums Tales from Topographic Oceans and Going for the One peaked at #1 in the UK. The band’s album Close to the Edge also hit #1 in the Netherlands. Yes’s hit single “Owner of a Lonely Heart” peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as on US Rock charts. Squire released his solo album Fish Out of Water in 1975. He was hailed as one of the greatest bass players of the early 1970s British progressive rock scene. After being diagnosed with acute erythroid leukemia in 2015, he announced that he will not be touring for the first time in the band’s history. On 7 June 2015, Squire died from the illness at the age of 67.
