Akhannouch has handed off the day-to-day management of the group to Ali Wakrim, son of his father’s partner Ahmed Wakrim.
Aziz Akhannouch was a member of the National Rally of Independents Party from 2007 to 2012. Currently he is an independent. He has been serving Morocco as its Minister of Agriculture since September 2007. In August 2013, he was appointed by King Mohammed VI as interim Minister of Finance.
